En quête d’archives audiovisuelles: un témoignage marocain

Abstract

Au Maroc, les institutions publiques disposent d’un patrimoine d’archives audiovisuelles considérable, qui demeure encore difficilement accessible au public, malgré les lois garantissant les droits d’accès. Ce témoignage d’artiste tente de pister les différents sites qui abritent ce patrimoine et de mettre à plat les barrières qui empêchent d’y avoir accès. Il s’interroge sur les rapports qu’entretiennent l’État et la société civile avec la question des archives.

In search of audiovisual archives: a Moroccan testimony

In Morocco, public institutions have a considerable heritage of audiovisual archives, which is still difficult to access by the public, despite laws guaranteeing access rights. This artist's testimony attempts to track down the different sites that house this heritage and to expose the barriers that prevent access to it. It questions the relationship between the state and civil society with regard to archives.
