Why was school one of the institutions in which they were most rigorously applied? Was it a simple subjection to the powerful German ally or the result of a more structured eugenic and racist thought? This article, retracing the racial and eugenic theories process of structuring in relation to the world of education, tries to answer these questions in the light of the comparison with the situation in the United States, where racial and eugenic theories had a particularly early laboratory of elaboration and diffusion.</p> ER -
